MODI looks to the history of the office desk and observes it in every detail, touches the fundamental points, respectful of the past but striving to go further. Analysing the archetypal desk, a top with two supports, we decided to completely rethink these aesthetic precepts.Time-tested veneering techniques combine with innovative wood-working methods. The special wood-engraving technique emphasizes other possibilities of expression in
the wood, highlighting the material concept, with unexpected effects of the light that a perfectly smooth surface would never show. Everything that was not essential to obtain a more versatile and dynamic desk has been eliminated.
